Is there a transit visa? is it required for Kenya?

Transit permits are usually issued to people traveling through Kenya to other countries, with a maximum duration of 72 hours. The passengers making direct connections without leaving the airport do not need to apply for transit visas. This visa is valir for 3 days from the intended date of arrival, allowing a stay of up to 72 hours.

The transit visa in Kenya is specifically designed for travelers who have long layovers and wish to leave the airport to visit the city or rest in a nearby hotel before continuing their trip. This visa allows a short stay giving the opportunity to explore some of the tourist attractions, do some shopping or simply outside the airport.

However, it is important to note that currentry, we do not offer the transit visa but it is included in our list for future implementations. In the meantime, travelers must ensure to have the proper documentation and verify all the visa requirements according to their country of origin and their final destination. In case of doubt, it is advisable to contact the nearest Kenyan consulate/embassy of Kenya for updated information and specific information in each case.
